Awake -- sort of.

Just got woken up by (moderately) bad dream. Nothing major, just a dream about me blowing up at someone for being an incompetent SOB and messing up a project. Its always hard to just fall back asleep after an unpleasant dream though, so I thought I would take an LJ break first.

And now I've done that.

Awake for real.

Just woke up again, for real this time. I had about 10 hours sleep last night, and I could have slept more. Since returning from Denmark I've been sleeping 8 to 10 hours every night. I must be catching up on some serious sleep deprivation, but it never felt like I was missing getting my sleep while I was there.

Serenity

Serenity opened while we were off in Denmarkia, so I imagine that most of the folks on my flist have already seen it. If anyone hasn't, but wants to, now is the time to speak up, since taxlady and I are thinking of going to see it soon.

Torchwood.

I really liked the character of Captain Jack in the first season of Dr. Who and I was sad to see them leave him behind. I had hoped he would reappear in later episodes, but I hadn't expected them to give him his own series: Torchwood will star him as part of a team investigating weird going's on in Modern Britain, and is supposed to be a 'More Adult' show than Dr. Who. I wonder if it will be any good? One thing for sure is, the article has left me asking the question: What the fuck is "Post-watershed Science Fiction"?
