Unifying Contradiction

I'm up (and working on awake) after far too little sleep. I'll be heading downtown shortly for an interview with a headhunter, in the ongoing saga of me trying to find a job. My interview isn't until 11:00, but I would prefer to catch a rush-hour bus. That means I need to be at the bus stop by 9:00 am and the latest. I would prefer to get there in a state of mostly awake and having had breakfast, so I'll be heading out the door to the restaurant in another 15 minutes or so.

Which means I need to finish drying off from my shower, drink my allonge, get dressed, and read the comics all in the next 15 minutes. Time to get busy!

So, taxlady and I are about to go out to celebrate our 6th Wedding Aniversary. My Mom sent us some mad money (about enough for a nice evening out at a restaurant) so that's what we're gonna do with it.

Technically I have some work to do when I get home, but I've already worked out that if the food+wine and whatall makes me too sleepy then I'll just go to bed and start early tomorrow. The end results will be pretty much the same, and it will help sort out my day/night schedule. Lately I've been staying up till 5 or 6 am.

Now, off to find some food!

So, of the three or four things I meant to get done today, I managed most of the preliminary windup for getting ready to do the first of them. Sigh. Sometime I think I need a big ol' taskmaster with a whip to make sure that I do the work that I promised someone I would do. Now I'm gonna have to work twice as hard tomorrow. If I don't play Civ.
