I really liked the character of Captain Jack in the first season of Dr. Who and I was sad to see them leave him behind. I had hoped he would reappear in later episodes, but I hadn't expected them to give him his own series: Torchwood will star him as part of a team investigating weird going's on in Modern Britain, and is supposed to be a 'More Adult' show than Dr. Who. I wonder if it will be any good? One thing for sure is, the article has left me asking the question: What the fuck is "Post-watershed Science Fiction"?

Who knows, but it does sound like an intriguing series. I liked the character as well. ( Gratuitous American :D )

The "watershed" is the time (10:00 I believe) when the UK's morality boards officially consider the kiddies to be in bed, so you're allowed to show more adult fare on the airwaves without corrupting their tiny little minds.

Why was I not logged in? ...oh, yeah, cause my cable went down yesterday and I had "bind to IP" turned on. Well, off with that option.

As long as I'm spamming you with multiple comments, I might as well register my opinion on this: best of all possible worlds. I really liked Captain Jack, but I was annoyed by how much he knew compared to the Doctor - being able to be left alone to work on the TARDIS, always having handy gadgets that even the Doctor didn't, etc. This way we get to see more of him without having him hanging around the TARDIS interfering with the Doctor's dynamic!
