Loooong day.

It was a good day spent with good people, but I am now exhausted. Anything non-emergency-like in my inbox will have to wait till tomorrow to be dealt with.

I think I'm going to eat a snack, catch up a bit on LJ and then head off to bed.

WTF???

My friend's page layout is completly wrong! It wasn't great before, but it wasn't bad enough to require modification. Right now its painfully bad. I half expect there's an explanation somewhere on my friends list, but I don't know how much I'll be able to stand reading in order to find out...

V for Vendetta

Due to the generosity of joenotcharles sharing his free ticket, I got to see "V for Vendetta" last night. I had not really expected much, so I was quite pleasantly surprised by the movie. Its most especially recommended for folks who have some admiration for Guy Fawkes, as the main character "V" is portrayed as a man trying to do what Fawkes failed at: blow up the houses of parliament. His intent is to bring down a fascist dictatorship that has taken over England.

The end result was really quite entertaining.

Speaking of Weather.

It was supposed to snow for a week solid, starting the day before yesterday. We only got a light dusting then, and yesterday I only noticed a few stray flakes. Today there isn't a cloud in the sky and the weather predictions for the next several days say nothing of snow.

I really can't say I'm disappointed.

Hmm.

I know a number of folks on my friends list have gotten recruiting calls from Google, and now I have too. It seems they are either contacting everyone in the tech world, or there's something statistically unusual about my friends list. I wonder which it is?

Ugh.

I'm supposed to be at a Networking cocktail party right now, but I didn't go. Starting a few hours ago, I've been feeling sicker and sicker. I have a pounding headache and a nauseous stomache. I think I may just go back to bed and hope to feel better tomorrow.
