taxlady woke me up a few minutes ago with news that the Museum that I had sent a business proposal to (for an archeological life simulator) just phoned back and they want to talk to me. EEP! What's worse, the guy who asked to speak to me is only in until 14:00 today. So, I figure I should phone him around 13:00 ish. That gives me just another 30 minutes to wake up and boot my brain.

I've already drunk some coffee, and now I think I'll take a fast shower so that I FEEL like I've woken up, and then I'll review the letter I sent (since I now forget its exact content) and THEN I'll phone him back and see what transpires.

Look at me! I'm a Roller Coaster!

Oof. Today was, indeed, an emotional roller coaster. I did the phone inteview thing this afternoon, which went well but left me emotionally drained. Then I got an e-mail about the Vinyl Digitization project which indicates that that route has dead-ended.

The letter said something like (paraphrasing heavily here): "After thinking about your idea on the weekend, I regret to say that I don't think I can help you. I also don't know of anyone who could. Sorry."

Normally that shouldn't bother me, given that the other project now has some life in it, after I had pretty much written off that approach. Still, it does. I think I'm just too tired and too drained to cope with much of anything right now. I'm going to hit the sack soon and get a good nights rest. That way I'll be able to reassess things in the morning with a clear head.
