Cooling Off.
Jul. 19th, 2006 10:45 amI've managed to get my office air-conditioner installed, and the temperature in here is dropping as I type. Its already comfortable in here, and soon it should actually be cool.
For my next trick I need to install its twin in the guest bedroom. That will require some lumber though because its almost impossible to find a vertical air-conditioner in this city and when you do its 5 to 6 times the price of its horizontal equivalent. Since the Horizontal model that I bought is for a different sort of window, the mounting hardware that came with it is useless.
I managed to build something that worked using some scrap 2x4 last year, but I used it all up. I may have to visit Reno Depot to pick up a 2x4 and perhaps some plexiglass or plastic panel to replace the cardboard that I used to fill the space above the A/C unit.
