As I was sitting here reading LJ, my Monitor spontaneously developped a buzzing noise and ripples running down the sides, distorting everything in a seasick-making manner. Its starting to look like I will need to buy a new AC AND a new Monitor real soon...

I wish. The cheapest LCD replacement is still at least $50 more than the cheapest CRT replacement, and I can't afford the extra $50.

Maybe, but I can't afford it. I'm not sure how I would scrape up the $150 for the cheapest replacement I've been able to find so far.
