Sometimes, when I'm tired like I am now, my eyes will see a phrase and I will read something completely different. Moments ago there was a headline about Microsoft trying to "Charm EU" and my brain reported that as "Charm Cthulhu"...

Last week in a bookstore I was checking out fantasy novels and my brain interpreted the title 'Prince of Shadows' as 'Prince of Sodomy'. WTF?

Does this happen to anyone else?

All the time...

in semi-related news, Adria is just finishing up a silver Cthulhu charm/pendant... interesting.

That's been happening a lot to me lately too. I can't think of any specific examples but my brain has been inserting letters into words and re-arranging them.

Not specifically the last example, no.

Not when I already know the words in question, it only happened a couple of times.

But when reading something and I happen upon a word I did not previously know or is in another language my brain refuses to read it as it is spelled and inserts something else I know.

For a long tim e each time I shaw the word shoal I read it as shawl. And got very confused in the process.

And some other examples.

It's a glitch in the Matrix. Happens all the time.
