Awake, etc.

swestrupI'm awake. I slept in because I was up late last night, but at least it was deliberate for once. When I saw that I was less than 500 words away from finishing my novel, I decided to just stay up and finish it. Those turned out to be a difficult 500 words because one of the characters was in a situation that was supposed to take several thousand words to resolve and took care of it in one paragraph, leaving all the other characters, and the author, somewhat off balance.
Anyway, I sorted it out and finished the novel and went to bed. I'll be going to the NaNoWriMo meetup tonight, although I may have to take the train to get there. At least with it being at central station, that's not much of a hardship.
