Struggling to Awake.

I'm slowly waking up now, coffee is being drunk and brain cells are slooowly coming on line.
Soon I'll be awake enough to read comics. <-- Indication of how out-of-it I can be in the mornings.

(Yaknow, One of the things that LJ lacks is an extensible emotion indication system. There's evidence that they thought of one, and got it to the point where it was almost usable, and then stopped.)

Usenet Metadata

Something just occurred to me that I should have thought of years ago. A simple collaborative metadata system would make the current usenet MUCH more useable. At the moment, the best that seems to exist is an ad-hoc  .cancel system for weeding out spam. It doesn't seem to be implemented much, nor does it seem to work very well. I think I can vastly improve upon it, but its probably best to do so in terms of a usenet/web gateway... Hmm.

Just thinking out loud for when (if) I actually get around to putting up the new Pooq website, this metadata idea shouldn't be forgotten.
