Usenet Metadata

swestrupSomething just occurred to me that I should have thought of years ago. A simple collaborative metadata system would make the current usenet MUCH more useable. At the moment, the best that seems to exist is an ad-hoc .cancel system for weeding out spam. It doesn't seem to be implemented much, nor does it seem to work very well. I think I can vastly improve upon it, but its probably best to do so in terms of a usenet/web gateway... Hmm.
Just thinking out loud for when (if) I actually get around to putting up the new Pooq website, this metadata idea shouldn't be forgotten.
