Le Yay!

I decided to try and figure out the problem with SSH (which still doesn't work) so that _sps_ could try some remote debuggering tomorrow. Instead I discovered a config panel where 'Start X on Boot' had been disabled. One click later, and everything Xist is back to normal on Webigail.

Now if I could just get SSH working.

I guess THAT's the job for tomorrow.

Tripping The Rift?

I should already be in bed, since I'm 73.46 percent certain I'm already asleep.

I just wanted to mention that I seem to have burned a VCD with the original episode of Tripping the Rift, the teaser for the never-made second episode, and the first three half-hour episodes of the ongoing revamped series.

Now, I wonder if I could interest a certain someone with a VCD player that we should all get together to watch it one evening?

Today's Event

Well, on the server front it looks like webigail is once more accepting of ssh packets. It seems that the msec (mandrake security demon) had his paranoia cranked just a little too high. Would appreciate a confirmation of this fact from _sps_, as he should once more be able to log in.

More importantly, today was taxlady's birthday. Since my Mom is a wonderful person, $50 arrived in the mail yesterday so that we could have a minor splurge today. Anyone who knows the love of my life can guess how the money got spent, but here's a breakdown:

1. Supper at a nice restaurant
2. A large bar of chocolate
3. A bottle of wine.

So, right now, she's a happy camper, and that makes me happy.
