Happy Tummy Times!
Aug. 10th, 2003 10:39 pmIts been a nice relaxing couple of days. Yesterday
taxlady and I went over to
denizsarikaya's place where much good food and conversation was to be had. Der mouse even had a possible lead for a work contract for me. Something to look into later.
We got home from the party around 1:30 am and promptly fell asleep. Today my sweetie drove me downtown to a meeting of the Montreal Transhumanist Association. It was only their second meeting, and they don't seem to have more than about 8 members, but it could grow.
Also at the meeting was P, an old friend of mine who makes a good living as an internet pornographer. Anyway he was telling me that due to recent events in his industry (probably traceable back to 9/11) he might know some deep pockets who would be willing to finance a "New Web Order" provided it had anonymity and micro-payments built in at the base level. He's going to look into it and get back to me. For my part I said I would try and put together a presentation in case he succeeds. Even if he doesn't, I may need the presentation when I go for grant money anyway so, shrug.
And now I've just finished a simple (but scrumptious) dinner of salad with ranch dressing, Codfish fillets (with lemon) and new potatos. I would do a happy tummy dance, but I'm waaay too full. There was even a planned desert involving strawberries in condensed-milk but we were too full to bother.
