Exhaustion

I am ever so tired. On the way home from Cornwall I made plans for how I would spend my evening. There was one task in particular I wanted to get to. Then, when I got home the reality of all the stuff that had piled up while I was gone hit. I took care of most of that, but then the last precursor task took much longer than I had anticipated.

While in Cornwall, I bought (for $8) a surround-sound processor that can take a pair of stereo RCA jacks and power 2 or 4 speakers. I've used it to replace the old broken FM radio that I've been using for that exact same purpose (I never use it as a radio). Now the sound from my computer goes to the two big speakers in my office, and it all works fine. The reason it took so long to fix was that each of the wires I was currently using were either loose or wonky in some way so it took a long time to establish that the new gizmo did indeed work and that I could make it do what I wanted. I eventually got it all sorted out though, and I now have far superior sound in my office. Yay!

Now though, its (relatively) late and I'm exhausted. I think its probably a good idea to start getting ready for bed now, as there's still a bunch of stuff I want to get done tomorrow morning before I head downtown. Besides, the insight that I'd had about how to do that other task, that had made me so eager to get to it, seems to have evaporated. I have no idea now what exactly I had planned to do, or how.
