The Russian Connection.

There are many phenomena on LJ that puzzle me, but the one that momentarily has my attention is the number of Russian's who've friended me. pblkov is just the latest such and he joins the ranks of heaven_pr, who still has me friended, and half-a-dozen others who've friended and unfriended me in the last 6 months, all of who's blogs are written in cyrillic.

Whenever someone friends me, I check their blogs to see if I want to friend them back. Since they are all in Russian, I can't read them, and so I don't. So far, none of these folks has ever commented on a post either, so I have to wonder why they friend me, and what they get out of my blog, or why they unfriend me.

I don't mind this behaviour. I just find it puzzling.

I only have one Russian, krematalog who once or twice has commented. In Russian. He does not respond to the question, "Who are you?"

Didn't you know? In Russian, the word "swestrup" means "free hot sex".
