Well, I haven't been updating much lately, so I have a few days to cover. Lets see...

Last Wednesday [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and I went to the Dollarcinema where we met up with [livejournal.com profile] dread_queen, [livejournal.com profile] v0idnull, and [livejournal.com profile] urbangeo. We went and wached "Superman Returns" which had excellent cinematography but a stupid plot and complete disregard for physics that, as [livejournal.com profile] taxlady put it, completely snapped my disbelief suspenders (and that was even considering that I knew it was a comic-book movie and so wasn't exactly expecting good science.) Had I paid more than a buck to get in I may have been disappointed, but as it was, I think I about got my money's worth.

Thursday is a bit of a blur. I vaguely recall trying to catch up with my email and going out to get pizzas with Terry because [livejournal.com profile] taxlady went to supper with a client and neither of us left behind felt like cooking. I also started coding a simple PHP application.

Friday I worked further on the PHP stuff until roughly six pm, at which point [livejournal.com profile] taxlady got home from downtown, bringing [livejournal.com profile] kalkuly with her. We then spent the next several hours shopping and doing groceries, as we had planned. Finally we had a late supper of chicken and salad. Terry spent the day running around and had supper with a friend, so we didn't get to introduce him to [livejournal.com profile] kalkuly. Maybe some other time. We've made tentative plans to go on a drive this week to look at scenic fall vistas before the snow comes.

Saturday I had a hard time getting started and didn't get much done all day but catch up on some reading. That evening we went out to "Tarasmas", the thespian extravaganza that [livejournal.com profile] baronscartop puts on every year. I was invited to the first such show, but was feeling too nervous at interacting with so many folks I didn't know, so I didn't go. The next year I was in Denmark, so this was the first time I managed to attend. WOW is all I can say. The man can certainly write, and he had a large contingent of folks who knew how to make the most of his material. I enjoyed myself immensely and took many (probably blurry) photographs which I shall endevour to upload to my machine as soon as I can.

We didn't get home until around one in the morning, so the next morning I slept in. Didn't get much done on Sunday, other than to drive around with [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and check out all of the houses and condos for sale in our area. If we're ever going to sell this place, it would help if we knew what similar places are selling for.

And today I didn't do much more than to finally get back to that bit of PHP writing that I've been meaning to do. I also caught up further on my tech reading. I'm now only 3 months (~700 messages) behind!

And there you have it! I'll try to be better at updating from now on, but I'm going to have to go downtown on Wednesday to take books back to the library and for NaNoWriMo, and I've already mentioned the planned sight-seeing excursion, so I may well get busy again.

You know, I had my camera with me at Tarasmas, and never took it out of my bag. I'm glad someone was taking photos!
