My monitor is behaving itself again. For now I have a rock-steady image. No strange wavyness at all. Now I'm REALLY wondering what might have caused it.
I don't think so. Its been much hotter in here, without any problems. I'm beginning to think it was some sort of electromagnetic interference. Maybe I have a neighbor who was using a massive floor polisher or something...
Not on this side of the condo's support wall. What the kid in the bedroom on the other side of the wall that my monitor leans on might be up to is another matter. Then again magnets generally produce (in my experience) stable distortions. This one moved.
