Scotch Bonnets.

taxlady managed to find (and purchase) some Scotch Bonnet peppers at the store the other day, and today I decided to try them out. Since the Habeneros I had tried some time ago had been very hot, and these were supposed to be much hotter, I used only one in the meal and didn't include the seeds (which usually contain much of the heat).

MAN was that hot! It was just around the limits of my tollerance. Its way nice to have a source of hot peppers again, but I think we're going to be cookie with 1/2 and 1/4 peppers if we're gonna be using these.

On a less good note, I seem to have lost my daytimer notebook in the women's washroom at the Virus cafe where taxlady and I went to our transhumanist meetup today. These pants of mine are forever losing things out of the back pockets when I go to the bathroom, but I usually think to check before leaving the stall.

(And I was in the ladies loo because the men's was broken. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.)

I tried phoning the Cafe when I got home, but no one answered the phone. I may make a trip all the way into town tomorrow, just to try to collect it.
