I used to score over 180 on these things!

Then again, it never asked me my age, so it wasn't actually possible for it to calculate an IQ. (the Q-for-quotient part of IQ is where you divide by your age...)
Who knows what the above number actually means.
Edit: Okay, graphic has been fixed.

Date: 2006-05-08 11:35 pm (UTC)Then again, a proper IQ test takes 4 hours, and can only be done in person, in front of a licenced person. The time it takes you to finish is an important factor, and it has never been posible to score over 140 without shaving a significant number of minutes off the time alloted. Not saying it could not be in the future, but it would likely require all others in your age group for the year to take the maximum time and get a large fraction wrong.
One of my pet peeves is when someone tells me that the average IQ is dropping. That is not possible, as the average IQ is BY DEFINITION 100.

I think it's filtering by IP address. After I took the test I could download the image from my command line (which doesn't have cookies) and I got the genius graphic. Downloading it the same way from elsewhere on the net, I get the dunce graphic.
Cute, although I'm annoyed to have wasted time on it...
