I was just greeted at the door by sucha who was clearly trying to tell me something, but it took a few tries to make it come out intelligibly:

Me: Hello Sucha!
Sucha: hrow!
Sucha: hrorhr
Sucha: herrowoh!
Sucha: herro!

She seems to be getting better at her Human pronunciation faster than I'm getting good at Cat.

There are two things that came to mind when I read this...


a) Why are you teaching your cat Engrish?


and

b) I remember that you live in Montreal, where there are still some people who equate English with being the speech of "humans". Westmount anyone?

I admit I thought about b) when I posted that. I didn't feeling like going into an aside about not even knowing enough cat to tell Cat languages apart. I did wonder if there were Human languages that were easier for a cat to pronounce than English though.
