How anyone can believe that my position is their property - or for that matter, that the needs of their war override those of my traffic control, I cannot fathom.

I find your use of the word "conscience" ... peculiar, since two of the most striking characteristics are disregard of the rule of law, and disrespect of the interests of others. Strangest of all is to hear the US whining about how evil other countries are for following their lead.
