Stupor Man

I'm awake again, or at least as awake as I can manage these days. The cold is still not gone, but at least by now its eased enough for me to sleep better at night. I slept something like 10 to 12 hours last night, which seems to be what my body wants. I've only been getting about 8 hours lately which would normally be enough, but not when I'm fighting a cold.

To make things more interesting tomorrow we get a house guest. He's an old friend who happens to have skills in bookkeepping¹ and accounting, so he's coming to help out taxlady during tax season. Normally this would be seen as a really positive thing, since I like the guy, but I'm not as social when I'm sick, and if he catches what I've got I'll feel terrible about it.

¹ This word has four double-letters in a row. I seem to vaguely recall that that is the record for an English word.

I think you went a bit far in doubling the p.

vierge_en_trop is right. There is only one "P" and only three double letters, but I think that is a record.

Yeah, I was unsure of that. I remembered the word having a record for doubled letters so I figured the 'p' was doubled too. I guess not.
