Myrrh?

I'm not terribly fussy about toothpaste. There is a particular anti-tartar brand of aquafresh that I avoid because it causes my mouth to break out in ulcers, but otherwise I pretty much use whatever seems handy. [livejournal.com profile] taxlady is a lot more fussy though. She hates mint-flavored toothpaste. If you check around, you'll find that most of the stuff out there is some varient on mint, so that narrows things down a fair bit.

Anyway, we both get the same toothpaste, since it makes life simpler, and the stuff we've been using hasn't mentioned any particular flavor on it before, other than 'classic'. Well, the latest tube of the stuff we bought was in a new design of container, and it proudly announced that what we've been using is myrrh flavor.

Myrrh? You know, I've always heard of that stuff, but I never knew you could flavor toothpaste with it. So, I now know what the stuff tastes like, and its not that bad. Still, I always thought it was used in perfume and incense, not as a flavoring...

Do they have another variety in Frankincense?

I'm not too crazy about mint flavored toothpaste either, so we've been using this orange-spice-flavored kind that's nice.

Did you notice that other people leaving comments mention Tom's of Maine brand of toothpaste? You might want to give it a try.

If you ever go to the States, there's a brand of toothpaste, Tom's of Maine, which has all sorts of interesting non-mint flavours.

Ah, Uncle Tom's Toothpaste. You can get it here, at Pharmaprix, nowadays. I think I left some at Sti's house, actually.
