So, last night [livejournal.com profile] taxlady realized that she had forgotten to pick up a permit for us to have a yard sale. That means that we now have a dining room table (plus the surrounding area) piled high with junk, and it will be there for at least a week. :-/

So, I think we shall need to find a way to re-pile it so that it takes up less space than it does now, or we won't have a table to eat off of for that week (unless you count the patio, but as Margaret and [livejournal.com profile] kalkully discovered last weekend that doesn't work so well when its raining).

You need a permit? where does it say that you need a permit for a yard sale? unless you're selling your yard...

Is it some sort of by-law in Montreal/DDO/Quebec?

Where I come from in Ontario... you need no such permit. And I don't even think that the cities of London, ON or Windsor, ON need them... I cannot find anything on Toronto or Ottawa's websites to indicate permits are required for yard sales in Ontario...

Can you point me to the Montreal linkage, svp?
