I have two other journals on LJ, that I've been keeping semi-secret (some folks have already stumbled upon one of them). They were created as avenues for me to take a hand at writing essays on topics that concern me.

willcodeforfood was conceived of as a place for me to talk about how I think a modern technology-based business should be run today.
technaut was created so that I would have a place to discuss the various technology-based business ideas that I've been coming up with since forever.

I am telling everyone this now, since as part of the august_writing community challenge, I am going to attempt to write one essay a day for the entire month of august. You will note that it is already the 5th, and that there are a total of 5 essays in the two journals combined. I can't say I'm completely happy with the quality of my writing to date, but I've found that trying to put together a rational and consistent essay on a given topic in just a few hours to be a rather daunting task.

Still, as I've managed to keep up so far, I've decided to let the world know about the challenge I've set myself, and so that you can all see what I've written. Comments are welcome.

A suggestion... or rather, a comment. Why not simply create an RSS feed and grab some blog software and install a couple of pages @ pooq? I only ask because... it would be cool for you to syndicate these particular blogs given their content.

I shall bookmark them and read along... but I think an RSS feed for each would have been a great alternative.

I never really imagined that the quality would be worth syndicating at this point, but all LJ journals automatically have RSS and ATOM feeds, without me having to do anything! The RSS feeds are:

yanno what Stirling, sometimes I could just beat you senseless. How dare you say never really imagined that the quality would be worth syndicating at this point! *swat* You have a wonderful flow to your writing, and your wit and knowledge of each and every topic always shines through. What's more, I do not believe you really know what an interesting writer you are...

I know that LJ makes the RSS available... but that's not really for within LiveJournal - more for those with RSS readers... or blogs on other websites like blogger.

I still think that your writings are of high caliber... and I really think you should syndicate them from pooq.

*BLUSH* Gee, thanks, but at this point all I see is how much I need to improve before I'm happy with my writing. I'm glad you think its good now though. Complements are always welcome, even if I have difficulty making myself believe them!
