Finally.

Today I did something I've been meaning to do for ages. I started writing a story. I doubt the story will be any good, or that I'll ever be ready to let anyone see it, but at least I've started it. I've had the ideas for the story bouncing around in my head since December, so I finally decided to work on it.

So far all I've got is some dialog from early in chapter 2, but its a start. Now I have to go and review style guides and such because I keep finding that there's all sorts of technical stuff having to do with dialog writing that I've forgotten because it never comes up in technical writing.

I wonder where I can get a good guide to the New or Logical quotation style and how to apply it to dialogs. Hmmm.

Yay! Story telling (okay, okay, writing ;-) is great.

Is it something we'll get to read eventually?

I really don't know. Some parts of it are going to be things that I want to share. Some parts will not. I find I'm very conflicted about the whole thing. Still, that is a problem to consider after its written.
