Just finished watching the first episode of the new Dr. Who series. It was every bit as campy and cheesey as I remember the original being, and I loved every minute of it. I'm definitely going to convert and burn the next bunch of episodes so I can watch them.

That reminds me, anyone interested in borrowing my CD's with the first season of Battlestar Galactica on them? They've now all been watched, so I'm willing to lend them.

I'm about to burn the first 7 episodes (that's as many as have been broadcast here), although my copy of episode 1 has a sound glitch. I can make copies for you if you want.

I've been wnjoying the new series, mostly. I missed the first episode though: it was massively promoted, except that they didn't say when it was actually starting! (Well, maybe on the BBC itself, but I happened not to watch the BBC that week.) I didn't know it had been on until after the BBC3 re-run. :(

I'm enjoying the show quite a bit myself, though I did end up missing at least one episode...as Steph pointed out, each show in the series pretty much stands on it's own so I'm not too worried.

Unless Nathan has it I'm pretty sure Episode 2 is here if you want to give it a try, perhaps Linda could pick it up when she comes to visit the studio :)

I wouldn't mind the BS Galactica stuff. I've been just loving the new Dr Who! and I hear a rumour that they are already changing the doctor next year.

(What format do you have those stored in? )

I couldn't agree more! In fact that's why I've shied away from downloading movies and TV shows, however I still do for stuff I missed AND I'm planning on buying a Phillips DVD player that will read these and much much more :)

It's not a rumor. The curremt Doctor (Chris Eccleston) only signed on for one 13 episode series. The next guy will be the 10th Doctor.

Sign me up for both - once you are finished the Dr.Who - alternatively, I could download them from you?
(I'm discovering that not watching TV actually has a downside occasionally - there are *some* shows I wouldn't mind catching - just not the commercials - nor the week long wait between episodes...but the irritants go away with this method - yeah!)
