Just lost another friend.

swestrupIt doesn't rain but it pours. To add to all of the other things that went wrong today, I just got news that an old friend passed away today. Unlike Deniz, who was in the prime of her life, John was somewhere around 80 years old (I don't know his age exactly), and I've known him since the early days of BBSing. He used to go by the handle (IIRC) of Rustypipe.
I don't know anything about the cause of death or anything else at this point. I'll probably be finding out in the next few days. I hadn't seen John since the Christmas party for the investment club we both belong to, and I hadn't any reason to think his health was failing.
He wasn't a pariculary close or dear friend, and he lived a long and very active life, but I'm still very sad to lose someone else.
