Oct. 9th, 2003 04:49 pmWell, its now almost 5:00 pm, and I'm still awake from my 7:00 pm wakeup yesterday. It just seemed easier to roll my hours forwards by staying up extra late than to try and unroll them by 11 hours!
So, normally at this time of day I would expect to be a zombie, and I am. And I'm still feeling somewhat under the weather. I may be entering the TMI zone here, but when I usually wake up in the morning my skin feels as if its exuded some sort of invisible gunge in the night. It probably has too, because not only do I feel gungy, but my skin is sour to the taste and if I touch my eyes without first washing my hands it stings like mad. Anyway, I woke up feeling EXTRA gungy today, and I've had two showers and one thorough face washing since then, and I'm feeling gungy again. Maybe I'm oozing sickness? I Dunno.
Anyway, I would expect to be a zombie, and I do feel like one, but I've managed to get some work done on a bunch of things I've been meaning to write, and did a bunch of sorting out of files on my computer. I guess its sometimes an advantage to have ones higher brain functions shut down.
And on that cheery note, I suppose I should mention that I just friended
amberbutterfly7 for no other reason that I saw one of her posts to
auriam and she seemed like a nice person. Or a nice kind of nasty person. Or something like that. Reading her LJ posts just confirmed it. Then again, I currently have no higher brain functions. Your mileage may vary. Void where prohibited. Mandatory where not prohibited.
I'm still typing because just as I was about to hit the 'update' button, my dang !@#$%$ linux server spontaneously rebooted, and it takes 4 minutes for it to come up properly. I've been meaning to look into that for ages. There's been a least a dozen new releases of the LEAF server software since I installed this version, but I've done so much configuring of my firewalls that its going to be a royal pain to capture all of my config info and store it offline so the update doesn't erase it all. And, of course, if I screw up then I'm without propper net access until I can get it going again. I just haven't felt like risking it. Oh, we're finally back up and I can save this post. Ciao.
