Well, taxlady is the coffee snob in the house. I generally drink whatever she buys. Lately I've been drinking Decaf, so we've been getting Folgers Medium Roast Decaf for me, which she says is decent. When taxlady is doing caffeine she uses the espresso maker to make an espresso alonge with whatever her favorite grind of the moment is (sometimes we grind our own, sometimes we buy pre-ground), otherwise she re-grinds the Folgers to espresso fineness and works with that.
As for equipment, we have a nice Mokita espresso/capuccino machine, a $20 drip machine, an old-fashioned electric percolator, a Bodum hand pressed gadget and a travel-size Molita drip cone that can fit on a mug. Provided we have a source of hot water, we always have several options for making coffee.
I'm sure she could answer with far more accuracy/detail than I, but that's essentially our coffee setup.
Mmmm you're making my mouth water with all this talk about coffee! I had a cappuccino machine for a while (about 2 years), but it got old and wasn't heating the water properly or filtering properly.
Just wonderin' ...
