I just woked up and the coffee is a-brewin'. I've not really been posting much the last few days, but for a change it hasn't been due to depression or anything. I've been puttering around the house, taking it easy and watching a Stargate Atlantis mini-marathon thanks to azrhey, so actually my mood has been pretty good. Lets just hope it stays that way.

Stargate Atlantis mini-marathon

I've been having a small SG-1 mini-marathon. Saw the first 7-8 episodes of season 8 today.

How's Atlantis? Better? Worse? The same?

In some ways Stargate Atlantis is better, and in some ways worse. Since its the first season though, I suspect it will eventually be better all around. My only real complaint so far (other than the Ancients being humans) was that the heros went to a distant galaxy where no one has seen people from Earth in over 7 million years (ie, since before we were ape-men) and everyone speaks English. Yeesh! I can understand wanting people to be able to talk to each other in the show, but I can imagine 2 or 3 ways of achieving that which wouldn't be so lame.

Merry Thingum indeed! Hope your stockings were pleasantly stuffed and that you had all the goodies you earned over this past year - it is sooo hard being good, now isn't it? Especially when sugar plums dance through your dreams and straight onto your plate for dinner. (Hope your diet wasn't completely blow away - stretched, okay, forgotten...:^)

Eh, I suspect I'm going to have to be extra strict about my diet for a week or two once the holidays are over, but in the meantime I'm indulging myself -- far less so than in previous years, but still far more so than my diet allows.

piled up during the academic term.

On a religious note, the website for the New Church is
http://www.newchurch.org -- my religion, which I never actually
joined. It was also Hellen Keller's religion, for an interesting
bit of trivia. (Harris cartoon: man with woman in store frowning
at the cards, saying "Saaaay, what's all this *religious stuff*
on the Christmas cards?")

We had our second major snowfall here in Windsor Ont. (ie
Ontario, Canada, across the river from Detroit, USA -- since you
have people from around the world who read your weblog) on
Wednesday Dec 22, which stayed, since the temperature out is
staying well below freezing. It must be about -7C now, up from a
low of -15 a couple of days ago. I put my air conditioner in the
basement.
