Its been known for a while that the flavanoids in onions could inhibit the growth of cancer, but a new study has shown that the onions that work the best against cancer are the ones that are the most pungent. Somehow I'm not surprised. Descented Garlic doesn't have any of the beneficial health aspects of normal garlic either.
