I just noticed that since my baysian spamfilter unexpected stopped working three days ago, I haven't gotten ONE piece of spam!

What gives? I used to get 5-10 a day, 99.9% of which got caught by my filter. 

I suppose I could always reinstall my filter to try and get it working again, but I don't currently feel like there's such a big need for it...

So, if you haven't gotten any spam, how do you know the Bayesian filter isn't working?

The filter just tags the spam, it doesn't delete it. So normally stuff shows up in my spam folder. Also, my spam filter acts as an email gateway and as a webpage. The webpage doesn't respond and pegasus says the gateway doesn't answer.

In my experience, lack of spam usually means my entire email is down.

Ya know, you might have a point there! Most of my spam comes through a secondary mail account that I only keep for legacy purposes. I should make sure its still operational. There are still one or two mailing lists that go through there that I've never gotten arround to sending to my current address.

Well, I checked and the old email account now works fine, but there is evidence that my old ISP has just installed a new spam filter. That might have something to do with it.
