Hi all. I'm up and awake now. I've had my coffee, read my mail, answered the urgent stuff, and made (and ate) breakfast for the two of us. I'm still getting a hang on the whole omelet thing, but they're coming out more and more as the books say they should look, so its all good.

Yesterday was another one of those days where I didn't get as much done as I'd wanted. Being our Anniversary, [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and I had a minor splurge and went to Arahova's for Souvlaki and wine. When we got back I wasn't really sober enough to do any real work (2 glasses of wine -- I guess I'm offically an easy drunk), and thought I would try and hit the sack early (ie midnight) as I want to get up early on Thursday for an appointment, and its easiest to do that in stages.  Anyway, it was not to be. [livejournal.com profile] taxlady's computer decided to act up and go into a reboot-loop. Its done this before, but the usual remedies didn't work this time. I think there are bugs in the drivers for her ancient Viper 330 when running under XP, and it keeps getting worse. Plus, her current monitor is awful and she has trouble reading it. We talked about the possibility of getting her an el-cheapo new monitor and/or graphic card. We could get both for about $200 dollars. That's pretty cheap, and if I had any kind of an income right now, I don't think I would hesitate. As is, I dunno.

Anyway, what with forcing myself to be alert enough to fix her computer, and then a worrisome discussion about money problems, sleep receded far away. I think I probably fell asleep around 5:00 am, and forced myself to get up at 1:00 pm.

So, now its the next day, and I have a bunch of errands to run around town. I guess I better do that, before all the shops are closed.

Why not use the monitor from Webigail? Now we have it set up it can be used almost as readily remotely....

Seriously. I'd have said, why are we bothering getting this? if I hadn't thought your household needed another one.
