My Day

Well, today involved lots of running around and not huge amounts of website work, but at least everything went more-or-less according to plan.

I got up around noon, had some coffee while reading comics and news and then grabbed a shower. I read some of my backlog while drying off and then walked the 3 blocks and back so I could cast my vote.

After that [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and I went driving around and doing errands. This included shopping for food at a couple of stores, buying me a new (cheap!) hat because I can't find my old one. Now I won't have to wear [livejournal.com profile] denizsarikaya's if I'm at one of her garden parties. It also included mailing out a dozen packages of EBay stuff.

We got home and I emailed everyone that their packages were ready, and cooked breakfast for [livejournal.com profile] taxlady and I, because that had somehow gotten overlooked in the scramble.

By then it was past 7:00 pm, and I could finally get some work done. Filled with renewed confidence over yesterday's bug-slaying, I tackled a number of other small bugs involving the webserver setup. One of them was to create a default favicon.ico as well as a couple of specific ones for particular websites. Considering that my artistic abilities in the visual arena are practically null, I'm insufferably smug over how my little icon creation project went.

So, since today has gone so well, and its now getting to be a very sleepy hour, I think I'll hit the sack and recharge the batteries to face whatever tomorrow brings.
