Not only am I still sick, and therefor more than likely to call in sick tomorrow, my laptop has caught a virus too. Right now, I can only use it while running a Live CD, like right now.

I'm pretty sure I can fix this, but why did it have to happen while I'm under the weather?

I'm still sick, so I didn't go to work today. I may not go tomorrow if I don't start feeling better soon.

Meanwhile it turns out my laptop has a rootkit on it. This is hard to fix when all I have to work with is my laptop.

I'm also trying to find a Live CD that works well with this laptop. Ubuntu'd live CDs run waaaay toooooo sloooooooow on this old (vintage 2000) laptop.

Knoppix runs much faster but doesn't recognize my graphics card, so I'm stuck at 800x600 resolution right now as I type this.

Zenwalk should work fine, but I can't get it to boot, despite the fact that I had it booting once before on this machine. I may just try to download and burn a new image, but that will be somewhat difficult to do from a live CD.

I've felt really rotten all day, but suddenly, starting about an hour ago, I've started to feel much better. I think it would be pushing things to assume I'm cured, and go in to work tomorrow, but I may well be at work come Wednesday.

At least, assuming this healing trend continues.
