Well, the day really seemed to drag on forever, but its finally over and I'm home now and I can relax.
I'm thinking I might try the 9-5 thing for the rest of the week. One major advantage I've found to getting up an hour earlier is that I can take a hot shower without fear of scalding. Since the hotel water temperature fluctuates wildly when everyone is showering at once, I end up taking tepid showers that can swing from freezing to boiling and back several times a second.
But getting up an hour earlier, I had no such problems. So, maybe it would be a good thing to shift my hours a bit.

I conked out early, got a whole 3 hours sleep and then woke up, and I haven't been able to fall back asleep.
I've tried reading and crosswords and even some mindless TV, but although I'm dead tired, I haven't been able to fall back asleep. I think I'm going to make myself a stiff drink (or two) and see if that helps knock me out.
