Awake.

Well, I got up insanely early, as planned, and actually had something close to 10 hours sleep as well, so I should be able to make it through the day.

But now it is 5:30 am, and I have to get dressed and out the door to catch a bus to my Rassa-Frakin' pre-dawn meeting.

The problem (well, one of them) with getting in extra-extra-extra early is that the dreaded mid-afternoon stretch hits at around 9:30 am...

Its feels like I've been here working forever, and its not even 10:00 am yet.

Well, the day really seemed to drag on forever, but its finally over and I'm home now and I can relax.

I'm thinking I might try the 9-5 thing for the rest of the week. One major advantage I've found to getting up an hour earlier is that I can take a hot shower without fear of scalding. Since the hotel water temperature fluctuates wildly when everyone is showering at once, I end up taking tepid showers that can swing from freezing to boiling and back several times a second.

But getting up an hour earlier, I had no such problems. So, maybe it would be a good thing to shift my hours a bit.

Oh Great.

I conked out early, got a whole 3 hours sleep and then woke up, and I haven't been able to fall back asleep.

I've tried reading and crosswords and even some mindless TV, but although I'm dead tired, I haven't been able to fall back asleep. I think I'm going to make myself a stiff drink (or two) and see if that helps knock me out.
