Its The Morning again, as it seems to be with monotonous regularity these days. I guess having a steady job will do that.  I Still don't know if I've got a cold or just a minor cough. I'm coughing less this morning than yesterday, so maybe its going away, or maybe its just entering a new phase of its takeover plan.

In either case, I don't have any excuse at the moment to prevent me from getting dressed, having breakfast, and going in to work. And actually, since some of what I have planned to do today is a bit of tricky code work I've been anticipating since the weekend, I find I'm looking forward to getting to actually do it.

Of course, once that's done and working, I have to finish off some other stuff that won't be nearly as much fun. Such, they say, is life.

Oof. I still don't feel very bad, but it really does look like I'm coming down with something. My throat has started to tickle and hurt somewhat, and my head feels like its stuffed with dead insects.

Needless to say, dead insects are not the most useful grey matter to have when one is trying to write the tricky bit of code, that I mentioned in an earlier post. Actually, I've now reached the point where even simple maintenance actions are getting difficult.

So, I think I'm heading home an hour early today, with the plan of getting an early night so that I will have the energy to survive until the weekend.

Then again, if I'm sick as a dog come morning, I'm gonna call in sick. No need to give the lurgy to everyone.

Well, I'm back at home base now. I don't feel too bad when I'm not actively trying to think.  I did stop off at the Pharmacy and Grocery stores on the way home to stock up on patent cures and simple easy-on-the-tummy food, in case I do have a full blown cold tomorrow and don't feel up to going to work, or even going out.

Right now I'm having a bit of Ginger Ale to settle my stomach, which decided it was somewhat unhappy while I was shopping, and if that works I'll probably follow it with some Chicken Soup.
