Awake for a bit.

I went to bed at 8:30 pm, because I had a nagging headache that wouldn't leave me alone. Its not entirely gone even now, but its only a vague remnant of what it was. I woke from a lovely dream about a lovely dream. I was at a party and having a daydream about a tryst with a gorgeous (but imaginary) lady who was also at the party, and she offered a penny for my thoughts. I was just trying to find the best way to tell her that they had all been about her (and rather explicit), when I woke up.

Bah, why don't I seem able to sleep through the night anymore?

BTW, the tryst dream had large numbers of extraneous details about owning a Urban Legends roadside museum somewhere out in the desserts of Arizona, which was actually a secret laboratory or something. Said gorgeous lady was an innocent manning the museum desk. It was lunch time, and no one had been by for hours...

Oops.

So today has been a busy day, but I want to talk about what has been only a tiny part of it -- so far. You see, we used up a whole gallon tub of textured paint stuff two days ago, thinking it was stucco.

It wasn't until today that we realized that it was one grade down from stucco. This is supposed to make a blobby wall, not a spikey one. No wonder it didn't seem to be working. So, today we got some stuff that actually claims to be stucco, and we're going to give that wall another go.

It'll probably take two hours, if the last experience is anything to go by. I'm not looking forward to it, but the Carpet guys are coming on Tuesday, and everything needs to be ready for them.
