Oops.

So today has been a busy day, but I want to talk about what has been only a tiny part of it -- so far. You see, we used up a whole gallon tub of textured paint stuff two days ago, thinking it was stucco.

It wasn't until today that we realized that it was one grade down from stucco. This is supposed to make a blobby wall, not a spikey one. No wonder it didn't seem to be working. So, today we got some stuff that actually claims to be stucco, and we're going to give that wall another go.

It'll probably take two hours, if the last experience is anything to go by. I'm not looking forward to it, but the Carpet guys are coming on Tuesday, and everything needs to be ready for them.

Haha, sorry, I didn't mean it to sound mean! Just rueful--we haven't spackled our walls this week, but there's been the Exploding Plate and lots of other "fun" here too. ;)
