Slow to Boot.

I went to bed and crashed sometime early last evening. I seem to recall the clock claiming 10:00 pm, but i think its more likely to have been just past 9:00. In any case, I slept soundly until 8:30 this morning, so it was between 10.5 and 11.5 hours of sleep. I needed that.

I didn't wake up fully refreshed, but I don't feel quite as dopey as I did yesterday. Then again, I've learned that how I feel when I first wake up is often not a good indicator of how I will feel later in the day. That has always made it difficult to try to decide if I'm too sick to go to work.

Anyway, I suppose its time to make myself a second coffee, and then to plan my day.

OMG - Portals!

Valve has a demonstration video showing how their new portable-hole projector can allow you to solve a variety of puzzles in their new game. I'm salivating at the idea!

Better Multimedia Links.

Here's something I've wanted for a while: Links to within rich content like music and videos. Now Google has taken the first step by letting you link to a start location inside a video. It still doesn't allow one to specify a time length though, and I would really like to see this worked into HTML (or its successor) rather than as an add-on from one company, but its a start.
