Still Alive.

I'm here, and I'm even awake, but I'm not feeling much like posting. I'm feeling kinda down at the moment. Not sure why exactly but I imagine any one of a half-dozen things have contributed to that, including the disaster in New Orleans.

Unlike some folks, I have no doubts the levees will be fixed, the water pumped out and the city rebuilt; probably at great expense. The human tragedy there is going to keep unfolding for the next several months though, and I am probably going to have to tune it all out if I want to stay sane.
