It would help if Deepest Sender could reliably work on multiple posts as the same time. At the moment I'm (optimistically) halfway through writing one of my essays, and decided I just wanted to post a "Hi, I'm awake, and busy writing!" blurb but had to do this through the lame LJ web interface.

Oh well, at least its not Tuesday. I've managed to fall behind on my essay writing again and I was thinking I would have trouble catching up today because I was going to the LJ meetup. That's tomorrow though. So, now I have no excuse for not getting some writing done.

Idiom Correction #384

The term is "nip in the bud", a reference to removing a bud from a plant before it has a chance to flower. An obvious metaphor for taking early action.

The term is NOT "nip in the butt". This conveys a very different metaphor and one not appropriate at all for the way this phrase gets used.

Today.

I managed to get two essays written today, although I've only published one of them. I've found that I am more productive if I write multiple essays for one of my journals rather than trying to alternate them. I'll still probably publish them alternatingly though.
