I'm not sure I would have bothered getting up yet, if there wasn't a party to go to this evening. I think I'll be rotating my hours around again early in the new year as I'm getting tired of waking while the sun is going down and going to bed when its coming up.

Is it just me, or does this article in Nature about Quantum Darwinism sound like baloney to any one else as well? It seems to rely upon the Copenhagen Interpretation of quantum mechanics which was disproved less than 6 months ago, or am I just confused?

I don't have a strong stomache for crackpot science so, even though it can form and interesting basis for conspiracy theory writing, I very seldom read any of it. Here though is an example of a bit of Crackpot Science that might actually be fun to read: History: Fiction or Science? which claims that most of Egyption, Roman and Greek history was invented out of whole cloth during the Renaissance and that civilization is far new than supposed. He also places the date of Jesus' birth sometime around 1084 AD...

Am about to head off for an end-of-year type party thang. Just gotta get a few last things sorted out, and we're outta here.
