Hmmm. I just woke up to find a message in my in-basket from my ISP. I originally signed up with DSL.ca a couple of years ago. Shortly thereafter they were bought out by wiznet.ca, and the transition was a bit rough, but they quickly became competant at what they were doing. Now though, they have just been bought out by magma.ca, which is already a part of Primus, and I don't know what that will lead to.

My current ISP has no bandwidth caps, has no policies against running a network, and allows you to run servers. I certainly hope none of that changes.

Here's a British view of the top 100 toys of (I would guess) the late 70's. Ah, Nostalgia.

I'm not sure if these will catch on, I mean they may well be yummy, but I think they've got lousy performance.

The MyAy from Siemens has a bunch of sensors and will send you an SMS message if its environment changes in ways its not programmed to expect. It can detect sound, movement, temperature changes and even has an inertial sensor so it knows if its moves. Sounds like it may have uses.

According to this article, for many people with dementia, heart drugs do more good than brain drugs, as a healthy heart seems key to treating the disease.
