With help from [livejournal.com profile] _sps_ I was able to stay awake until something like 8:00 pm last night before crashing into sleep. Just over 8 hours later, I awoke. I probably could've gotten back to sleep, but getting up at 4 to 6 am for a couple days would be good for me, and whenever I sleep well there is a strong chance I won't be able to sleep come the evening. So, with 'only' 8 hours sleep, I'll prolly fall asleep no trouble tonight and get up at a reasonable time monday morning.

Lets see if waking up in the morning equates to me getting work done.

I'm looking for advice on a Wiki to install on my server for various bits of collaboration. What I need are:
  • Support for version control via subversion.
  • Able to handle multiple projects
  • Easy extensibility (One project will require the ability to create and edit organizational charts).
  • Decent Documentation.
Any advice?

According to this article, someone has proposed that the mechanism by which the Higgs particle (as yet undiscovered) causes other particles to have mass is by being part of a universal field of entagled particles. This field interacts with force-mediating particles in a sluggish way, causing the perceived effects of mass.

The possible use of a completely entagled field of particles that fills the universe is left as an exercise to the reader. (Hint: anyone wanna build a stargate?)

In a recent blurb about a new display technology, the phrase "200 Terapixel to 4 Petapixel" caught my eye. Too bad the english on the page is so poor. It makes it very hard to be sure of what they're talking about.

I just realized that I never posted a pointer to an article on the recent discovery of Homo floresiensis.  This cousin of Homo erectus turns out to have been a contemporary of ours. The newest bones date back only 15,000 years and according to legends of the (H. Sap.) natives in the area, the last of them only died out in the 1500's.
