Higgs Boson and Entanglement.
Nov. 7th, 2004 08:52 amAccording to this article, someone has proposed that the mechanism by which the Higgs particle (as yet undiscovered) causes other particles to have mass is by being part of a universal field of entagled particles. This field interacts with force-mediating particles in a sluggish way, causing the perceived effects of mass.
The possible use of a completely entagled field of particles that fills the universe is left as an exercise to the reader. (Hint: anyone wanna build a stargate?)
