I tried that sleep thing, and it didn't work. Judging from the timestamps on my emails and some LJ posts, its not working for some other folks as well.

If the entire sleep system went down, would they report it on slashdot? Exhausted netters want to know.

This handy dandy device does everything you need! It Slices! It Dices! It can dance a hornpipe while bowling a googly! Well, no, actually all it can do is turn off TV Sets remotely. It currently knows the off codes to something like 200+ tv sets and cycles through them as fast as possible. Now the next time you're in a restaurant and the TV is too distracting, one click of the device on your keychain will shut it up!

Kinda woked up. Kinda feeling better. Kinda hoping it lasts. May spend much of the day in front of the TV, I just finished downloading an 8-hour Nova miniseries on Evolution.

TCP/IP desperately needs to be replaced. Someone is now proposing an RFC for a replacement. More info on slashdot.

Yup, I'm still sick. I think I'll have a hot Hot HOT shower and lay on the couch and veg for a while. Luckily I still have "Once Upon a Time in China" Numbers 2 and 3 to watch, because I'm in just the kind of mood for a good kung-fu flick.
