When I finally fell asleep I slept for 11 hours. Thats not actually enough, but I awoke without a headache and decided that trying to get more sleep might bring on a migraine. So, now I'm drinking the morning coffee and checking out LJ. Once I'm fully awake I'll try to make a start on the various chores that I had planned to do yesterday.

I was just watching a show on classical music and one section talked about the Waltz. They had someone from Vienna explaining all about it:

When one thinks about Vienna and the Viennese, what first comes to mind are their balls. Many folks around the world know that the people of Vienna have the largest, most luxurious and the most extravagant balls of all. Indeed, balls are extremely important to us as a people, as they allow us to show off our wealth, power, influence and style. Balls are not the sole perogative of the idle rich in Vienna. Oh no, all the people of Vienna have balls, although they are not all as big and as elaborate as those of Royalty. Some, in fact, have very small and modest balls. Take the taxi drivers for instance. They have only one ball and it is quite small. This is also true of the bricklayers. The tailors however, have surprisingly large balls that are often the talk of the town.

It continued for some time in this vein, but by then I was too boggled to pay attention.
