Just who is this Dawn person anyway, and is she worth getting up for? That's the question.

Last night around midnight I suddenly felt very sleepy, so I crawled into bed and set my alarm for 8:30 am. At 8:20 am I awoke from a puzzling dream. On the one hand, it was an old familiar dream about being late for school, and my first class was English and not only had I not done my assignment but I had missed so many classes that I had no idea what the assignment was. Then, suddenly it segued into a strange confrontation with a teacher and a rant that authority MUST be questioned, or it has no right to be an authority.

Anyway, having woken just before my alarm, I stumbled downstairs to find that [livejournal.com profile] taxlady hadn't set up the coffee machine before going to bed. Since I'm not sure where we're supposed to be in the weaning-off-caffeine process, I made a full pot of decaf. I don't mind the fact that there's no caffeine, but this stuff doesn't taste as good as what we normally drink.

I don't think the going off caffeine thing is necessary for Atkins. Surely cutting down on it can't hurt, but it made no difference in Steve's induction if he drank caffeinated colas or not. Decaf coffee is made of lower class beans than regular, because the decaffeinating process is expensive and to keep the cost of decaf about the same as caffeinated, they have to use a cheaper bean. Hence the less acceptable taste.
